    In the last but one competition to finish, it’s the Panamanian Irving Saladino, who jumped the furthest (8m40) on his 5th attempt. He took victory ahead of the two British jumpers: Chris Tomlinson, who beat his national record with a jump of 8m35, and Greg Rutherford, whose jump measured 8m27. more

    The men’s 1,500m has been won by the Moroccan Amine Laalou with a time of 3mn32s15. He beat the leader of the Samsung Diamond League, the Kenyan Asbel Kiprop, who finished in 3mn33s11. more

  • 08.07.2011 - Robert Harting first go

    All it took was one throw, of 67m32, for the German Robert Harting to win the men’s discus. Achieved on his first attempt, this performance by the best thrower of the season was the only one to be measured. more

  • 08.07.2011 - Suspense all the way for Robles

    The Cuban world champion Dayron Robles had to wait for the photo-finish before he was awarded victory in the 110m hurdles in 13s09. In a very high level race, the American David Oliver, scored a season’s best and is credited with the same time but retains the lead in the Samsung Diamond League standing. more

    The Ethiopian takes a win in the longest race of all at the Meeting Areva, the women’s 5,000m, scoring an excellent time of 14mn29s52, the best of the year over the distance, which assures her of first place in the Samsung Diamond League. more

    In the most highly awaited competition of the evening, Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie has managed to tame what were often difficult wind conditions. His performance stood out in the pole vault where there was an electric atmosphere. more

    Kelly-Ann Baptiste, from Trinidad, takes victory over the prize distance that is the women’s 100m with a time of 10s91 and the fifth best performance in the world this year. more

    The South-African Caster Semenya ran a time of 2mn00s18 to win the women’s 800m, which is an encouraging outcome after some rather mixed results during the previous Samsung Diamond League meeting, which she is heading after this evening’s performance. more
