Press Point Renaud Lavillenie

Extracts from Renaud Lavillenie's Press Point

« The competition in Helsinki has been tough, intense and exhausting, but very interesting. Now, it’s in my back. So, I’m just focused on jumping on Friday night at the MEETING AREVA. I don’t want to think further than that. I will have time to think about the Olympics a few days before qualifications in London. My main goal, tomorrow night, is the Diamond League. I’m leading the Diamond Race and I want to keep my first place. Winning it a third time in a row would be a great accomplishment. Of course, if conditions are great, I will try to jump high. I’m pleased to know that I will not be alone on my own, with the three Germans who pushed me in Helsinki. It would be great to jump again at 5.80 m or higher. I’m not obsessed by the Olympics, even if I’ve been thinking about the event since I’ve to qualify for Beijing Olympics.”
