« The last time I’ve been in Paris was in 2003 for the Worlds championships. I was only 16 and I was part of the relay 4x100 m. A great memory. I still remember entering this huge stadium, with the crowd. I’m very happy to be back this year. I’m feeling great. I’ve been in Europe for about six weeks, where I’m focused on preparing my body for the Olympics. I’ve not run so much this season, only four races, but I don’t need more. For tomorrow night, I hope to beat my season’s best, 12:49, a world lead. I have always in mind the goal of improving my time. Since last year and my world title, y life has not changed so much. Of course, people recognize me more often in the streets in Australia, but it’s never embarrassing. I will be favorite at the Olympics, but it doesn’t worry me, I don’t feel more pressure on my shoulders. I’m very lucky to do what I like, so being ahead of the pack is not a problem for me.”
